On the day sound editor Liang Xiaoman returns home jobless, the village's iron-flower show falls apart — the stage collapses and the lead suona player walks out. She takes up her late father's old suona and joins master craftsman Shi Yuanshan and folk musician He Mingchuan on a seven-day sprint to rebuild the stage and sync fire with music.
