Effective date: October 8, 2026. This policy describes how ShortDramaNow handles personal information.
1. Who is responsible for your data

2. Information we collect
We may collect your email address, account identifier, profile name and avatar supplied by a sign-in provider, login and security records, viewing and playback-history records, device and browser technical information, analytics identifiers and service-usage events when you allow analytics, support communications, and payment status or transaction confirmation supplied by PayPal. Analytics events may include page and playback activity, selected plan, and transaction amount or currency. We do not intend to store full card details, and our analytics tools are not sent your email address or payment-card details.
3. Purposes and legal bases
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we process personal data on these legal bases as relevant to the activity: to perform our contract with you (account access, playback, membership and payment administration); our legitimate interests (service security, fraud prevention, support, and improving the service, balanced against your rights); compliance with legal obligations; and your consent (where required, including for non-essential analytics or advertising measurement). Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting processing already carried out. We will identify the applicable basis for a particular use when responding to a privacy request.
4. When we share information
We may share information with service providers that help deliver the service, including hosting, authentication, and email providers; PayPal for payment processing; Meta Pixel and Umeng (CNZZ) for analytics and advertising measurement when you allow analytics; with professional advisers and authorities when legally required; and in connection with a corporate transaction. We do not sell personal information for money.
5. Retention and security
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Retention depends on the type of record, how long you keep an account or membership, security and dispute needs, and applicable record-keeping laws. We then delete or anonymise it where practicable. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
6. Your data protection rights
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, you may have the right to access your data, correct it, request erasure or restriction, object to processing, request portability, and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. These rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions. Send a request to shasapelino@gmail.com from your account email where possible. We may ask for proportionate information to verify identity. We will respond without undue delay and normally within one month; where the law allows an extension, we will tell you within that first month and explain why. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you are in the UK, or to your local data protection supervisory authority.
7. International transfers and children
Our service providers may process personal data outside the UK or the European Economic Area. Where data protection law requires a transfer safeguard, we use a lawful transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards, and you may contact us for information about the safeguard used for your data. The service is not directed to children under the minimum age required by applicable law; do not provide personal information if you do not meet that age.
